WELCOME TO FIFTH GRADE!

          Welcome to the beginning of a new school year!  I hope you had an enjoyable summer and are ready to jump back into school!

          I am looking forward to meeting each of you and finding out more about who you are.  Let me tell you a little bit about who I am.  My name is Miss Kestel, and I am originally from Storm Lake, Iowa.  I have one older sister, who graduated from Creighton University in May 2007.  She is now a pharmacist here in Omaha at the Nebraska Medical Center.  I also have a younger brother who will be a junior at Iowa State University this year.  I attended Catholic grade school and high school.  I then went on to study Education at the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota.  I LOVE swimming!  I swam distance freestyle on the swim team in college, and I graduated in May of 2006.  I also love running!  I ran my second marathon last November with Ms. Aaron and my sister.  It was so much fun!  I was fortunate enough to begin my teaching career here at St. Stephen the Martyr School.  I have had four amazing school years here, and I am looking forward to another fantastic one!
